Jurassic Turtle found in Quarry

A previously undiscovered Turtle; Hylaeochelys, dating from the Jurassic period (140 million BC) has been found in a fractured 20 tonne Fancy Beach Whitbed block by our Quarry & Mine Manager's wife, Diane Godden. The specimen predates the other known examples of the species, which until now had thought to have been from the Cretaceous period (around 65 million BC).
