Renovation of retained Portland stone façade and construction of new north elevation. Fit out of internal reception in Portland stone.

Finsbury Circus House, located at number 8 Finsbury Circus, is situated in the heart of London’s financial district.

Fletcher Priest Architects were commissioned to design the scheme which involved increasing the current office space and redesigning the building layout.

Portland stone was specified for both the internal and external stonework package. The external package consisted of new Portland stone cladding and the cleaning and restoration of existing stonework. As part of the internal package, a large Portland stone feature wall was to be created in the main Reception area.

Once Skanska were on-board as the project’s main contractor, the project team visited Albion Stone’s site to view their extraction operations, factory processes and view the large Jordans Whitbed and Jordans Basebed range panels. Here the stone range was agreed.

The project at Finsbury Circus House aims to achieve a BREEAM rating ‘Excellent’.

Albion Stone supplied approximately £60,000 worth of stone for the whole project.
