The project comprised of the refurbishment and widening of Kingston Bridge. The overall cost of the project was in the region of £7.4 million. The project was completed in 2000.

Albion’s Independent Whitbed and Admiralty Roach stones were selected as the best match to the existing stones on the bridge.

Universal Stone, along with the Main Contractor and representatives of the client, visited Albion’s Quarry to view the blocks available and to make a selection for a pre-purchase agreement to ensure the best quality blocks for the project.

Albion Stone supplied approximately 130m3 of Independent Whitbed and 70m3 of Roach Stone, both as slabs and blocks to Bath Stone Group’s Yeovil works for manufacture prior to fixing on site.
