For the past 16 years, the Dorset Echo has campaigned each Christmas to make sure every child receives a gift.
More than £4,000 was raised last year. Businesses donate money to buy vouchers and gifts and collection bins are in local supermarkets and shops for people to donate toys.
Echo deputy editor Samantha Harman said: "Each year we are astounded by the generosity of readers and local businesses."
Kelly Matthews of Albion Stone said: "We supported this cause last year and wanted to get involved again this year and help local children. Most of the people who work here have children themselves, so we thought it would be something good to support. We want them to get presents and we're happy to be supporting this".
