Mark Godden

Mark has been working at Albion Stone since 1983. Not only does he run the busy day-to-day operations in the quarries and mine, he also takes a keen personal interest in geology and has almost 30 years experience in the stone industry.

Mark was born on Portland and has worked in the island’s stone industry for most of his life, as did his father and grandfather before him. He is professionally qualified as a geologist and engineer and is proud to have played a part in the development of mining as an environmentally friendly stone extraction method for Albion Stone. Mark is also the owner of two Jack Russell terriers,  he’s an enthusiastic amateur photographer and lives a happy life on Portland with his wife Diane
