We have successfully joined our two Portland Stone mines
The breakthrough between Bowers and Jordans mines, creating one working area, happened last week thanks to the comprehensive planning efforts of our Mine Manager Mark and his team.
The new entrance will assist with mine ventilation, provide a second means of egress from the mine in an emergency and provide a shorter haul route for freshly mined blocks, thereby increasing the overall efficiency of the mining process.
