Mine safety training is particularly important and we work closely with the very best company in the industry, Mines Rescue. Albion Stone plays an active role in the MAUK scheme, the MPA and the IoM.
We are continuing to look at all operations seeking improvements, an example is the Epiroc Drilling Machine which completes the entire drilling, resining, bolting, and tightening of the bolt from the safety of the protected cab, we are the first and only company in our sector to make this £0.5m investment in safety.
Our objectives include:
a. Continue to reduce exposures to noise, dust and harmful gases and fumes through increased training and improved operational procedures and new machinery.
b. Continue to promote H&S awareness in all aspects of the operations and our employee actions including mental health.
