In 2017 we completed a significant extension to our factory to futureproof our operations. The new facility was built with a dropped floor level, allowing us to create a much taller workspace standing at 10 metres high and providing a working height of over 6.5 metres. This scale, together with a robust overhead crane system, enables us to construct full storey high stone panels safely and reliably within our factory environment. These panels can be transported to site and installed quickly, reducing on site construction time and improving overall project efficiency.
This capability gives us enormous flexibility for modern loadbearing stone construction. The ability to assemble large stone sections off site means we can deliver precision engineered components that meet demanding project timelines and sustainability targets.
We currently hold over 26,000 cubic metres of Portland Stone block in stock, already extracted from our own mines, on the ground and ready for manufacture at a moment's notice. With the largest and most technologically advanced stone processing factory in the UK, we combine capacity, craftsmanship and modern machinery to produce loadbearing stones on shorter lead times without compromising on quality.
