Portland Stone features in two gardens at Chelsea

Albion Stone are proud to have supplied our Portland Stone for two gardens at this years RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Silent Pool Gin Garden

Albion supplied Portland Grove Whitbed copings and larger pavers. The character in the the Grove Whitbed makes a wonderful feature in the garden.

The garden won a 'Silver Gilt' award and the BBC have done a 3 minute showcase about the use of quality British materials in this garden. The British materials used include Portland Stone, Purbeck stone and weathered oak.

 

The Pearlfisher Garden

Albion supplied Portland Bowers Roach as curved on plan steps (some with planter holes), curved on plan seating and crazy paving.

“Designed to celebrate the beauty of the vast underwater garden of our great oceans, this garden consists of a series of aquatic tanks, hosting ocean plants, coral and fish that surround the central feature of a three-dimensional pearl diver.”

The Pearlfisher Garden received a Gold Award.
