Scope of Project:
Construction of commercial and residential development in Portland stone.
The project at 25 St George Street involved the construction of an office and residential development in the heart of London’s West End.
From the early stages of the project Albion Stone’s Bowers Basebed was specified for the development. Galliford Try told Albion that the main façade was designed as stone-on-precast with the rear elevation still under discussion.
Albion Stone supplied 25m³ of raw Basebed blocks supplied directly to sub-contractor of the project, Stirling Services.
The Portland Stone was incorporated into Stirling Services’ panels at their factory, then fixed by them on site. The total value of the contract for this project was £500,000.
