Development of five luxury lodges built into the cliffs
Clifftops is a unique development of five luxury lodges, built into the
Portland stone cliffs on the edge of Pennsylvania Castle Estate.
Designed by Morrow + Lorraine Architects, the project focuses on respecting the natural environment of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
The stone was selected by the design team as the mine is just minutes away from Penn Estate.
The local masons also added inscriptions and doodles to the stonework.
Albion Stone supplied a mixture Jordans Basebed and Grove Whitbed stones in the form of 350m2 external walling and approximately 100m2 internal walls tiles, 20mm thick.
Albion Stone Restoration carried out the installation of both the internal and external stonework for this project.
