Construction of 71 luxury apartments & penthouses
Ebury Square is a luxury residential development in the heart of Belgravia. Berkley Homes employed Squire and Partners to transform the original 1950’s structure into two apartment buildings providing the highest quality, contemporary accommodation.
For such a prestigious project – apartments range from £3.5m to £24m – the Squires design team chose Portland Stone cladding for the seven storey building facing Ebury Square.
The practice has years of experience designing with Portland Stone and after careful consideration, Jordans Basebed was specified for its consistent aesthetic qualities and unique environmental benefits.
Following a visit to Albion Stone’s quarry, the project team agreed the stone range from our Sample Panels. Albion supplied 6,500m² of 50mm thick Jordans Basebed in a variety of panel sizes.
The new development responds to the context of Belgravia’s Conservation Area it lays within and greatly improves the environmental efficiency of the original building.
Marcus White from Squire and Partners said: “Portland stone is a traditional architectural product that we are proud to use at Squire and Partners and we are always pleased to specify Albion Stone because they are top of the list for quality and supply.”
As a fourth generation family business, Albion Stone takes pride in its knowledgeable and dedicated workforce. By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques, we produce Portland Stone of the highest quality while minimising our environmental impact.
