Located on St Stephen’s Green, in Dublin's central business district, the former failed concrete-clad “Canada House” building was demolished in 2013 and reimagined by award winning Irish architects DeBlacam & Meagher with sustainability as it’s focus.
A few meters from the National Concert Hall and situated within an Architectural Conservation Area, Aercap house emerged in 2016. The six-storey, 61,500 sq ft Grade A office, achieved the prestigious LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Platinum status in 2019. Surpassing all Irish standards and regulations and is recognised as one of Irelands most environmentally friendly buildings.
Albion Stone supplied over 2,500 m2 of Bowers Roach with a honed finish, utilising 50mm thickness in lengths ranging from 515mm to 1,300mm. Stone Systems expertly installed our stone, ensuring the building met it’s environmental credentials, without compromising on aesthetic finish.
The buildings striking corner position now possesses the presence to match it’s stature. Prominent window canopies extend across the middle three storeys on Earlsfort Terrace and to the rear. The use of Bowers Roach provides the perfect balance of creamy white tones and intricate shell and gastropod detailing, harmonising beautifully with the historically significant Georgian heritage of the St Stephen’s Green.
